Slimline garage doors

We don't have a particularly large garage, and we do anything we can to try and conserve space. The old garage door had quite a wide swinging hinge, which meant there was a large area where we could not store anything. We have recently switched to a slimline garage door, which rolls up overhead and has a much smaller profile overall. Not only do we have more space, but the new garage door also looks great and has made the whole garage look nicer. This blog is all about new options for garage doors with slimline profiles and modern styling.

Accessories That Will Improve the Performance of Your Automatic Gate

by Tyrone Cooper

The advantages of installing automatic gates outweigh the demerits by far. From being a safer security option to raising the value of your home, it is no wonder why the demand for automatic gates has gone up. That said, the ease of operating automatic gates can be assumed to be the number one reason why homeowners prefer them to manual entries. However, to get the most from the operation of an automatic gate, you need to accessorise it. This post highlights critical accessories that will ensure a seamless experience with your automatic gates.

Mini Remote Control -- Electric gates come with remote controls for easy roaming operation. However, standard remote control gadgets are relatively prominent and visible that makes them prone to damage or getting lost. If you want to avoid all this, then invest in a mini-remote control. The small size of mini remote controls makes them easy to store in your purse or key ring. Since the remote control will be with you at all times, the chances of leaving it behind are reduced significantly.

Laser Parking System -- How many times have you bumped your car on the front or side wall of your garage? Probably countless times. One problem that most homeowners grapple with is maximising usable space in their garage. However, the solution to the problem is the installation of a laser parking system. The gadget works by indicating exactly where you need to park. As a result, you avoid bumping into obstacles, which improves effective usage of garage space. Notably, a laser parking system can be installed either on the inside or outside of your gates.

Exterior Keypad -- The hustle of operating a gate strictly from the inside of a house can be tiring since you have to go in first then come out. If you own such a system, then you need an exterior wall-mounted keypad. With an externally mounted keyboard, you will save a lot of time and ensure improved security when entering through your automatic gates.

Internet Gateway -- At one point or another, you might have rushed out of the house and wondered whether you locked your gates or not. If you have no way of confirming this, you might be forced to go back and verify which will eat into your time. An internet gateway accessory allows you to monitor and operate your gate remotely via a smartphone.
